Our regular courses are intended for both complete beginners and participants who already have experience and want to improve their technique or return to artistic work. No previous art education is required. The work takes place in small groups, with an individual approach and tasks adapted to the experience and goals of each student.

Regular painting, icon painting, watercolor and painting courses for young people do not have a predetermined total duration. Participants can attend them for as long as they want to learn and progress. Since it is done individually in small groups, it is usually possible for a new student to join during the year, according to the available places in the corresponding group.

In most of our courses, the basic material for work is provided and included in the price. The exact scope of the material, the price of the cycle and the duration of the lesson are listed on the page of each course. For special materials or techniques, such as real gold in gilding or specific formats and substrates, there may be an additional cost with prior agreement.

The material provided by Art Central is intended for work in the studio and, as a rule, is not taken home. The format of the work is agreed with the lecturer, especially when it comes to larger formats, so that the choice corresponds to the technique, the time required for work and the space in the studio.

To the greatest extent yes. The choice of motifs is agreed with the lecturer in order to match the level of the participants, the technique and the aim of the course. In the case of icon painting, the choice of template is harmonized with traditional iconographic rules and work procedures. The lecturer can propose another motive if the chosen proposal is unsuitable for the program or is not suitable for quality work within the course.

It depends on the technique, the complexity of the motive, the format and the pace of the student's work. Some jobs can be completed in one cycle, while more complex jobs require more time. Our goal is not to finish the work as quickly as possible, but for the student to understand the process and go through all the necessary stages with quality.

Yes. The work you create during the course is yours and you take it with you when you finish it. When we organize student exhibitions, the works are exhibited with the agreement of the authors and then returned to them.

Yes. The Painting for Youth program is intended for children and teenagers and is organized in age-appropriate groups. The tasks, the duration of the lesson and the way of working are adapted to the age and experience of the child, and all the basic material for the work is provided. Yes. Every year, Art Central organizes an exhibition of the works of its students and gives them the opportunity to present their creativity to the audience in the gallery space. Exhibitions are an important part of our program because they represent the end of a period of work, but also an incentive for further development and new artistic challenges.

Yes. By appointment, we organize creative workshops and events for children and adults. The program, duration, material and price depend on the number of participants and the selected workshop concept. We also organize special creative team building programs for companies and teams.

For the first work, we usually recommend an iconographic template with a clear drawing and a moderate number of details, so that the student can focus on the basic stages of the work and the icon painting technique. The choice of template is made in agreement with the lecturer. If you have your own proposal, it is preferable to bring a high-quality reproduction in which the details are clearly visible.
